Following are highlights from our interview with Ryan….
Q: Describe your 'job' at K2, In three words?
A: Teamwork, Invest, Advise
Q: Why did you get into this business?
A: I asked a mentor of mine; "how have you been so successful over the years?" His response, “I built a 'treehouse' that all my friends wanted to join, and they have been with me ever since” That’s what Jason and I wanted. We wanted to our own 'treehouse' or company that people wanted to be a part of, a company that could help other entrepreneurs, and a company that could build upon success as investors and entrepreneurs.
Q: What is the one thing you want people to know about you?
A: I am very blessed to have the support of my friends and family. I am stronger with them!
Q: What advice would you give yourself, looking back?
A: As a former football coach said, don’t look back, look forward and keep your head on a swivel.
Q: What is your secret to success?
A: Integrity. If you don't have integrity, you have nothing. You can't buy it. You can have all the money in the world, but if you are not a moral and ethical person, you really have nothing.
